1986


Windsor Jewelers is founded by Paul Lubetsky in New York City, buying and selling estate and antique jewelry.


1990


Windsor hosts a large buying event in Korea, taking the business international and growing their expertise beyond American and European designers.


1997


Windsor hosts a series of record-breaking buying events across the US with Bloomingdale’s, establishing Windsor as a market leader in estate jewelry buying.


1997


Windsor Jewelers outgrows their original two-room, 500 square foot 47th Street office, moving into 608 5th Avenue, creating space to grow the business and team.


1999


Windsor purchases a significant natural pearl necklace formerly owned by the Queen of Sweden.


2004


Windsor acquires excess inventory from Harry Winston, including the ruby red slippers created with over 4,600 gemstones to commemorate the 50th anniversary of The Wizard of Oz.


2005


Windsor adds a new avenue to the business, acquiring the entire US inventory of FRED Paris, one of the most iconic everyday jewelers of the mid-20th century. This begins Windsor’s closeouts department, taking the business in a new direction.


2005


Windsor Jewelers acquires its first large scale designer buyout of excess inventory through Bulgari.


2009


Windsor purchases the Fred Leighton bankruptcy with partners. The largest purchase of fine estate, antique and signed jewelry to date. Incredible Fred Leighton jewelry is showcased in the film Marie Antoinette.


2009


Windsor purchases the entire inventory of Henry Dunay, one of the finest US designers of jewelry.


2011


Windsor purchases the Arcot ll Diamond, previously owned by King George ll in the mid-18th century. The 17.21 carat, internally flawless Golconda diamond is among the most famous gemstones in the world.


2011


Windsor acquires the celebrity favorite brand Marina B. Founded in 1970, Marina Bulgari became one of the finest designers of jewelry and a red carpet mainstay.


2015


Windsor buys the Shirley Temple Diamond, a 9.54 carat VVS2 blue diamond, one of the rarest pieces owned by the beloved Hollywood icon.


2017


Outgrowing their previous office, Windsor Jewelers resides on the entire 32nd floor of one of the most beautiful and prestigious Art Deco landmark buildings in New York, the Fred F. French building on 5th Avenue. The office provides sweeping views of Manhattan and a private showroom for clients.


2020


Windsor acquires an impressive Harry Winston suite originally commissioned by Middle Eastern Royalty. The suite featured Winston’s iconic wreath design with nearly 300 carats of impeccable diamonds including a choker drop necklace, cluster earrings with 5+ carat center diamonds, and matching watch and bracelet.
